VERÓNICA POZA NOGUEIRAS

Verónica Poza Nogueiras completed the Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Chemistry (2014) and the Master of Industrial Engineering (2016) at the University of Vigo. Since 2016 she has been part of the BIOSUV research group, where she carried out doctoral studies that led to obtaining the title of Doctor in Chemical Engineering from the University of Vigo (2021). His Doctoral Thesis received the International Mention, an Outstanding Cum Laude rating and was an Extraordinary Award. Currently, he continues his research career through a postdoctoral grant from the Xunta de Galicia.

 

Throughout his career he has carried out collaborations through different stays in research centers both nationally and internationally, such as the Electrochemical and Environmental Engineering Laboratory of the University of Castilla-La Mancha in Ciudad Real (Spain), the Center National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Orléans (France) and the Grupo de Reação e Análises Químicas (GRAQ) in Porto (Portugal), where it is currently located.

His research focuses on water remediation through the application of advanced oxidation processes to eliminate emerging contaminants, as well as the application of electroanalytical techniques to monitor treatments.

 

Likewise, he has participated in teaching tasks in the Department of Chemical Engineering since 2017, teaching mainly in the School of Industrial Engineering.
